PURPOSE AND POWERS OF THE ASSOCIATION

The association is not for pecuniary gain or profit to the members but was created for the specific purposes of providing maintenance, preservation and architectural control of the residence lots and common areas within the subdivision and to promote the health, safety and welfare of the residents.  Each resident living in Woodland Park is a member of the Homeowner's Association.

HISTORY OF THE ASSOCIATION

Woodland Park is a residential development consisting of 302 homes located on Canada Road, approximately one quarter mile north of Highway 64 in Lakeland, Tennessee.   It is a Planned Residential Development (PRD-2) meaning among other things that the residents are financially and equally responsible for maintaining 28.8 acres of "common area," including a lake.  To that end, annual dues are assessed and collected.
The Homeowner's Association was created on January 4, 1995, when the developer incorporated under the auspices of the Tennessee Nonprofit Corporation Act.   The Association was controlled by the developer until August, 1998, when resident homeowners were elected to the Board of Directors and assumed financial control.

Woodland Park is governed by neighborhood covenants and bylaws as recorded in the Shelby County Registers Office, Memphis, Tennessee, No.EW2004.  The Board of Directors enforces those covenants and bylaws.

The Board of Directors has created this website so that residents can access the minutes of each monthly meeting in order to be informed and involved in the Association day to day affairs.  In addition, it will be used to notify Woodland Park residents of events important to all residents.
