First Election of Commissioners under the new City of Lakeland, City Manager/Commissioner form of government.  Three commissioners where to be elected, then the three would pick a commissioner to serve as Mayor

Letter from Louis Garner on first election after incorporation passed.  Although in his letter, Louis didn't chose one of the four candidates from around the lake, he made phone calls to encourage the vote for Dr. William Holwick as his pick.
